I grew up skating with my friends on a daily basis. Looking up to all of the pros and always having the curiosity of what our skating looked like, would be the start to filming for us. We would each take turns filming with an old VHS Camcorder and a extension cord running across the ground. This lead to me purchasing a smaller and more useful Hi8 camera from a pawn shop and started to film and watch our footage just for fun!
Eventually I would stop filming for a while after my camera broke, I bought a new one several years later and started to actually put together small edits of 1-3minutes long documenting my friends skating and my own. Then the final step I decided that this is something I wanted to pursue as my career and enrolled at Bellevue College in the Movie Making Degree, which was canceled that very quarter and I switched over to the Digital Media Arts Degree and was still able to focus on Video Production.
