Bronze Casting, short Documentary at Pratt Fine Arts Center

The Bronzing/Casting class is taught over several weeks, but I was lucky enough to capture the actual bronze pouring, since they actually only do that once during the class. They cooked and melted the bronze in a sunken oven in the room, making for some great intro shots! The fire is actually really close to me during the first shots, but no camera damage, lol.

Spanish Tapas bar, "Pintxo"

A few months ago two of my good friends Preston Villanueva and Tim Knapp came up with the idea to start a online video series made to highlight some of Seattle's established Restaurant/Food/Drink community! This is the first full episode featuring Pintxo in Seattle, WA!

Pintxo is a popular tapas bar and restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle, WA.  Expect to taste authentic bite sized Spanish dishes and a blend of food from various regions of Spain.

This was more of a test run for the first film and getting a good idea of how we would plan and film for future shows. Most of the pre-production and planning was done on the spot, which turned out to help take off some of the pressure of planning too much. Working with a group of great friends and tasting a sample of traditional and modern mix's of Spanish food, is always a good day on set!

"Stepping out of Binary" A short documentary with Urban Artworks and Bellevue College artists.

Urban Artworks is a non-profit organization that primarily works with under privileged youth and volunteers. What a lot of people don't realize is they are the ones to thank for a large amount of the impressive murals all through out the greater Seattle area!

This was a great opportunity to help give a glimpse into one of the many projects Urban Artworks brings into the community. I want to thank everyone for letting me document them as they brought this piece to life!

1 of 2 New Vlog series, featuring footage from WA and OR.

This first film was shot with the intention of looking for a few landscape shots of the mountains, but the sun was setting quickly and it was freezing out. I got lucky with the motorcycle flying by after reviewing the footage. I actually had to keep moving out of the road, after I was all setup to shoot and panned my camera really fast to catch the last part of it going by. I will post some footage from the spring and summer of this area, it looks really nice when in bloom. All of the sound was added in Post.

My first Interest and start to Filming.

I grew up skating with my friends on a daily basis. Looking up to all of the pros and always having the curiosity of what our skating looked like, would be the start to filming for us. We would each take turns filming with an old VHS Camcorder and a extension cord running across the ground. This lead to me purchasing a smaller and more useful Hi8 camera from a pawn shop and started to film and watch our footage just for fun!

Eventually I would stop filming for a while after my camera broke, I bought a new one several years later and started to actually put together small edits of 1-3minutes long documenting my friends skating and my own. Then the final step I decided that this is something I wanted to pursue as my career and enrolled at Bellevue College in the Movie Making Degree, which was canceled that very quarter and I switched over to the Digital Media Arts Degree and was still able to focus on Video Production.
